Auditions for Young Intermediate Level!
Due to an ever-growing interest in the Ellison Ballet Summer Intensive, we are excited to announce the expansion of our program with a Young Intermediate Level!
This level will be offered during the main summer intensive, July 1, 2013 – July 26, 2013. With this addition, we are able to accept more talent at younger ages, girls and boys from ages 11-13.
These students will receive the same comprehensive training as students in the Intermediate and Advanced levels, though tailored more to the needs of younger dancers.
Training correctly at an early age is vital to a dancer's professional career, and students will benefit greatly from the highly effective teaching methods of master teacher, Edward Ellison, and his international faculty. The Young Intermediate Level enables Ellison Ballet to instill and develop strong technique, self-awareness, and the individual artistic potential early in the students' dance careers. These students will leave with more refinement technically and artistically, and exude strength, accuracy, confidence, and knowledge in their future endeavors.

Ellison Ballet Summer Intensive:
There is great emphasis on our men's program, focusing on the development of the power, stamina, and masculinity associated with strong male technique.
The EB-SI has become a destination for some of the most talented students in North America and abroad. This four-week session is designed for students who wish to experience concentrated exposure to exceptional classical ballet training in New York City - the mecca of the dance-world.
The curriculum affords an excellent opportunity to greatly improve technical skill, develop greater self awareness and gain a deeper understanding of individual artistic potential.
Students learn from the highly effective teaching methods of master teacher Edward Ellison and his international faculty. They come away with greater strength, precision, confidence, and knowledge — and ultimately experience the power and poetry of the art that is ballet.

Ellison Ballet - Classical Pas de Deux Intensive:
This exclusive program will focus on the study of various pas de deux from the great classical ballet repertoire, immersing students in the pas de deux, variations and codas associated with each selected ballet. Open only to pre-professional students ages 16 and older, the unique program will be particularly helpful to dancers preparing for international competition.
Ellison Ballet Classical Variations Intensive:
This special two-week program is for young ladies only between 13-16, who wish to be immersed in the details of classical ballet variations.
The curriculum includes daily classes in classical technique, pointe, and intensive study of some of the most famous choreography in the history of ballet. This is truly an excellent opportunity for those wishing to prepare to successfully compete at international ballet competitions.
Classical Variations program will be taught by Ellison Ballet faculty member,
Erin Forrest. Having studied ballet at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, and holding a degree in ballet pedagogy from the St. Petersburg Institute of Culture and Arts, Ms. Forrest shares a wealth of knowledge of the pure classicism of Russian Ballet. Her detailed instruction is of the highest caliber, and students will gain greater strength, skill, and understanding of technical details, proper form and style of each variation.

Four week Summer Intensive program: $3,000
Two week Classical Pas de Deux program: $1,750
Two week Classical Variations program: $1,750
Six weeks Summer Intensive & Classical Pas de Deux or Classical Variations programs: $4,500
